Remember, a gentle touch goes a long way in preserving your furniture's elegance.

Furniture panels

Coated furniture surfaces are relatively easy to care for and do not require special maintenance. Dust can be easily removed with a dust cloth or duster. Please never use care products and polishes that apply a wax or oil layer to the surfaces, and also avoid abrasive cleaners such as harsh liquid cleaners, scouring milk, or solvents as they can damage the coating.
Chocolate fingerprints from children’s hands or red wine stains after a party can happen. The easiest way to remove stains is with a damp cloth onto which you sprinkle a diluted neutral cleaner. Always dab and wipe without applying pressure. Highly staining or acidic substances such as ink, paints, fruit juices, tea, coffee, cocoa, red wine, and mustard should be removed immediately, as they could otherwise permanently affect the surfaces. Komandor Scotland’s wardrobe systems and shelving units will thank you for it.

High-gloss lacquers

A slightly damp cotton cloth is best for wiping high-gloss surfaces. Avoid applying too much pressure. Dust particles on dry dust cloths, as well as conventional microfiber cloths, can cause small scratches and eventually dull the surfaces. Please do not use care products and polishes that apply a wax or oil layer to the surfaces, and abrasive cleaners such as harsh liquid cleaners, scouring milk, or solvents can damage the coating. For high-gloss furniture, the motto is: less is more. The less you rub the surfaces, the longer they will shine. To make it more difficult for dust to adhere to the surfaces, you can treat them with antistatic care products. Individual stains and greasy fingerprints can usually be easily removed with the Dustar-Cleaner from JEMAKO in combination with the Dustar-Cleaner cloth. Always dab and wipe without applying pressure.

Milk glass, clear glass, and painted glass

Caring for glass is particularly easy and hassle-free. The smooth surface can be effortlessly cleaned with a soft wool cloth or window cloth and water, to which a splash of glass cleaner or dish soap can be added if necessary. Finally, polish with a clean, dry cotton cloth or chamois leather. When dealing with painted glass, it’s important to ensure that the side where the paint has been applied (if accessible at all) is not damaged.

Frosted glass

For regular maintenance and cleaning, it is recommended to wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth – ideally, you can use the JEMAKO Profituch followed by the JEMAKO Trockentuch. Stubborn stains can be removed with the JEMAKO Intensivreiniger in combination with the green JEMAKO Faser. Then, wipe with the damp JEMAKO Profituch and dry with the JEMAKO Trockentuch.

Metal elements

The surface of aluminum is anodized or anodized. This coating is considered a good protection but can be scratched by external influences. Therefore, aluminum should not be cleaned with sharp or abrasive cleaning agents. It’s best to use a dry cloth. When cleaning all other metal parts, use a slightly damp cloth, possibly with a detergent solution. Clean painted metal in the same way as painted wood surfaces.
